Why Become a Certified Member?
NADOI Certification is offered to those deemed highly qualified, effective dog trainers. Through a rigorous certification process, applicants are evaluated by their peers. It says that this member has met the standard set by the Association. Certification says this member's knowledge and abilities meet the guiding principles stated in NADOI's Code of Ethics. How do I become a Certified Member?
Create an Account
We ask you to create a user id and password and provide some basic info about yourself.
Complete some quick eligibility questions
We ask a few simple questions about your level of experience to be sure you have the required skills to be become a Certified member.
Pay the one-time Examination Fee
We charge an examination fee of $150.00 to become a Certified member. Annual dues of $85.00 are not charged until your application is approved.
Complete the Membership Examination
Our examination is geared toward the practical application of your training knowledge and requires detailed answers and video.
We take it from there.
Examiners review your application
Once your application is complete, two experienced examiners review your answers, check your references, and contact members who may know you.
We reach out for any additional info we may need
You may be contacted by our one of our examiners to answer additional questions or to provide clarification of your answers.
Our Membership Committee reviews your application
The examination (which also includes the examiners' evaluations) is reviewed and voted on by the Membership Committee.
We let you know your results.
Our membership committee reaches out to you to let you know your results, and you become our newest Certified Member.
